What was removed? The new Children's Museum!A welder works on the new museum. The Kaufman Block sports a new paint job!The Trib getting new kitchen cabinets, etc!The new Union Hospital addition! The new ISU Recreation Center! The Trib gets new arched windows in the attic.same, close-up!New exterior panels for the Trib! Some of the new kitchen cabinets in the former Trib/Candlewood Suites.A peek inside the new north stairwell for the Candlewood Suites and Children's Museum.More cabinetry!A "Double" Suite (the one with my favorite view of Wabash!) nears completion!A Candlewood elevator lobby a few weeks ago...compare to later pics from this week...just ahead.Historic elevator doors stripped of old paint.Nice cooling capacity!A view of the Indiana Theater and the Swope Art Museum from the former Trib.Elevator lobby, cont'd.Improvements on the back of the TH Fed Bldg.Improvements on the back of the TH Fed Bldg.YAY!!!!!!! REAL stone replaces a few of the old broken pieces on the front of the Trib. Rumor has it that one of these pieces fell during one of our earthquake after-shocks this Spring. Glad to see the original facade staying!!!! Thanks Tim Dora!!!!Same view, zoomed out for context. The stainless steel Tribune Building placard has been removed. No word on it's fate. The shell of the new registration desk at the Candlewood Suites. An east/west hall in the Candlewood looking toward the new north stairwell.A newly enclosed elevator lobby in the Candlewood Suites. It is my understanding that the enclosures are required by fire code due to the open-shafted historic stairwell. The historic elevator doors sport a fresh new coat of paint.Added August 8th: The new exterior panels on the back of the former Trib/Candlewood Suites! I like the color because it is sympathetic to the original brick!Added August 8th: The new Children's Museum is nearly "topped out"!
